Tomorrow I will be giving my very first Professional Development class and I am so very nervous. Believe it or not, I can act like a complete fool in front of my students, but speaking in front of adults, yeah, not my favorite thing......
Needless to say, when you are asked, there isn't room for a "no", which is fine, but did I mention how nervous I am. So to my 8 followers, if you have any pointers, please endow me with your wisdom. I fear tomorrow will be the scariest 60 minutes of my teaching career to date.
Faithfully,
Janine
Hi Janine,
ReplyDeleteI don't think I really have words of wisdom as I haven't had to run a PD before. But I do have a few words of encouragement! You were asked to do the PD for a reason, so keep reminding yourself that. Also (because I would feel exactly the same way as you do) please take comfort in the fact that anything we dread always turns out to be fine in the end...doesn't it? :) I would be so nervous too, but you will do great!! Let us know how it went and best of luck!
Thank you for the encouragement, I will hold it close to my beating heart tomorrow! Your words of wisdom are perfect and I will definitely let you know how it turns out!
ReplyDeleteFingers Crossed.....
Faithfully,
Janine
