Go Math Workshop

Oh, how I wish this workshop was offered when our district took this math adoption last year!  Of course, after one year of trial and error, the errors were so apparent that this workshop came to fruition.
Well, I am so pumped now that I understand the reasoning behind the way this series was created.  The workshop is being given by the author of the series, can I hear a WOOT WOOT!!!!  So, after I finish day 2 tomorrow, I will compile all of my notes and put them in an easy to follow summary for my fellow Go Math teachers!
Be on the lookout teachers because this stuff will once again allow you to breathe again when it comes to math in Florida!

  1. I've never heard of Go Math! Can't wait to read your notes!

  2. I am going to be a first year, second grade teacher in Florida (I did half a year of Title I tutoring this past year) and my county uses Go Math!! I cannot wait to see this, it is going to be sooooo helpful! Thank you! :)

  3. I am a first grade teacher in FL and had an awful year with GO Math last year! I'm also excited to see what you've gathered from the workshop!

    Thanks for sharing!!

  4. I teach in a large k-5 elementary school in Iowa that just adopted Go Math for the 2011-2012 school year. I can't wait to read your notes so hopefully we'll get on a good start our first year. THANKS for sharing.

  5. I like Go Math, but have found that it does not have enough spiral review for my first graders. I am in the process of developing daily spiral review sheets. I've completed chapter 1 - 2 and will have 3 finished tomorrow. There are 2 worksheets with the same type of problems for every lesson. Copy front and back. Do side "A" in class and send side "B" home for homework. Or do side "A" as guided practice and "B" for independent work, assessment, etc! If interested, they are in my TPT store for only $1.00 per chapter. http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Donna-Walker-8
