We Did It and That Means: GIVEAWAY!

Thank you so much to those of you who brought me to 300.  I was so shocked to wake up and see that I am now in the 300+ club, WOW! Special thanks goes out to:   T. Ulch, Ms. Smith, Kim for Joy in 6th and Katie who brought me over the top! Who would have thought that my little ditties would keep you coming back for more.  To celebrate I have a little giveaway that I am starting today and will close out on Saturday, the 7th at 6 pm.

I know that Target is one of a blogger's first loves, so I am giving away a $10 gift card to help you on your scavenger hunts for 10 great things from the Dollar Spot at Target!

Here's what you have to do:

1.  Follow my blog and leave a comment (or comment that you already follow).

2.  Post about this giveaway on your blog and comment that you did so, along with a link to the post.

3.  Share one positive thing that you will be doing for others in 2012.

That is 3 entries for each of you!  The winner will be announced on Saturday after using Random.org to choose the lucky person.

My positive act for 2012:

I am going to walk away from gossip, yes, you heard it here first.  Schools are filled with it and I am not going to feed into it this year.  I feel that by doing this, one less person will get hurt by what others say about them. Rumors are started like wildfire and I am not going to be a part of it, I pray God gives me the strength to walk away.

Happy New Year!

  2. Hmmm, one of my new years resolutions {prior to choosing my one little word - which still emcompasses my resolutions...} was to do more small/simple/kind things for others... a friend of mine calls them "sparkles". Little things, pick up a coffee for a friend, bring them a doughnut, make a copy for them, brush the snow off their car...that's what I'm aiming for. My OLW {one little word} is "strength" so I hope to have strength emotionally, mentally and physically to do some sparkles in 2012...

  4. I think my positive act for this year is to look at each day as a new adventure. I pray that God give me the strength to go through the valleys, because without the valleys - we wouldn't have the mountain tops to enjoy!

  26. I'm a follower. Good for you on walking away from gossip. That's such a hard one. My fiance (I'm still not use to saying that.) has this metaphor he uses with our youth about gossip. He starts out talking about how vultures eat dead rotting flesh and they feed their young by throwing it up in their mouths. He says that gossip is like this. If you're spreading gossip your the momma vulture if you're listening to it you're like the baby bird eating. It's disgusting but powerful.

  27. The positive things I'm going to do is to make a conscious effort to pray for my students and school family every day. I started a prayer group when school started and I want to continue with that.

  36. In 2012 I want to encourage others more; especially at work by doing little things like leaving a "warm fuzzy" note or leaving a little "thinking about you gift" - random acts of kindness to encourage them that they are noticed and there are people who appreciate what they do on a daily basis.
