Currently and Stuff...

First, the Stuff:

I am finally going to break down and purchase a license from DJ Inkers.  My focus walls are being requested like wildfire and I have been giving them away for free.  I love free and I will always offer free, but these focus walls (you know if you have them) are the bomb, diggity, bomb.  They took me a whole summer due to the research and permissions and stuff that I had to get.  So as of today, I am going to sell them (once I get that license).  Do you think I am being greedy (Farley's Pet Peeve)?  Please be honest and give me your thoughts.

Now on to Currently:

Thinking:  I am part of a pilot Master's Certificate Program in Math.  I was over the moon when I was accepted and even happier when I found out that my district would contribute to the fees.  I am almost finished with the 5 required classes, but I think I have worked harder on this than I did on my entire Master's in Reading.  I HATE math, there...I said it.  I wish I was a math person, but I am not.  This is part of the reason why I took this on.  I thought there would be a slight chance that I could fall in love with numbers.  I haven't.  This is supposed to be about learning how to teach math to K-5, but let me just say, I don't think any elementary students will ever need to know some of the stuff I am doing.  Anyhoo, there is a lot of writing, which I love.  So the happy medium is I get to write about teaching math, while trying to calculate these equations that haunted me in high school.  I have 3 papers due next week, so I am still thinking about starting at least one of them!

Needing:  I have given up on cleaning.  I am talking about full on hyperintensive cleaning of my house every single week.  I clean the obvious:  bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, and making the beds.  The floors get swept and mopped periodically, but I don't stress anymore.  Until today.  What is going on in my shower?  I clean it every week, but apparently someone  has dyed their hair and the dye has glued itself to the grout.  I am not calling out names (HUSBAND), but um, what were you thinking?  I didn't see it because I don't take a shower with my glasses on, so things are a bit blurry, lol.  I walked into the bathroom this morning with my classes on and almost died!  It is gross.  It will not be gross by the time I go to sleep tonight.  If you have any tips on how to keep shower doors and grout clean, pass it on people.  I am desperate.

Pet Peeves:  There isn't much to explain.  Don't lie to me, it is as simple as that.  I will forgive you, but I will never ever forget and what we once had is gone.  I will not trust you...ever...again.

What is currently going on with you?  Click Farley's button below and head on over.  Don't forget the rule of 3 when you are there (or 6 or 9, you'll understand once you click).

Oh' boy fourth grade

  3. I'm glad I found your blog through Farley's Currently! I am also needing to commit to exercising more consistently. It's hard when you are on your feet all day with your littles to then have the motivation to go and do MORE.

Happy to be your newest follower!

  4. I don't think you're being greedy either. You work hard, your put your own time into the product, so you should put it up for a fee. I completely agree with the comments above. I LOVE focus walls, so I am going to check yours out! I have to deep clean my house too. It hasn't been done in a while. It's so hard to get started though... ugggg.
    Happy Saturday!!

  8. UGH UGH UGHHHH TO MATH! I hattttte Math! And I even think some of the stuff the Math teacher on my hallway teaches is tough (I have obviously not grasped a lot of what I was taught in elementary/middle school) I am TECHNICALLY certified K-6 Generalist... SOOO, if I could 'TECHNICALLY' teach Math since i'm certified, but I would hope my Principal would be smarter than to allow me to teach it at any point in my educational career! Haha! (Did I mention that I still count on my fingers?!)

Good luck girly...!! Especially with the "hoping to love Math" part! :)
