My socks are still on and the only degrees I can get to are on the thermostat. I did nothing. Absolutely nothing. Except:
Watch every episode of Downton Abbey
Clean the bathroom
Write 2 1/2 papers
Pin the things I wanted to do
Entered Giveaways
Posted 2, count them, 2 blog posts
Transferred to Bloglovin and Feedly (I like Bloglovin much better, so I think that will be my new home when Reader fades into the night)
Catch up on over 2000 unread blog posts from all of my favorite bloggers
The only thing on the above list that I planned to do was write the papers. It should have been 3, but I can't seem to think of anything else to write about Culturally Relevant Mathematics Lessons (If you have anything to share, please do).
I am going to chalk this up as a loss, all the way around. I think losing Grandma on the 17th is still very heavy on my heart, so I am doing mindless work to pass the time. Easter Sunday will be hard, but she has risen to heaven, so I should smile knowing she is in His glorious kingdom.
Spring break has come and gone, but now I am closer to summer and that list is going to knock everyone's socks off!
Oh my Gosh Janine,
ReplyDeleteI totally understand. I didn't get done with nearly as much as I wanted. I too watched Downton Abbey and cleaned up just a bit around the house, and transferred to bloglovin. I am sorry for your loss. I lost my grandfather this month as well and although I know he is enjoying himself in the Church Triumphant, I miss him.
Happy Easter,
Laura

I am so sorry for your loss, so many grandparents have left us these past few months. I am happy to see that we were on the same wavelength! I am now addicted to Downton and Bloglovin has some new fans as well!

If you find out who stole your break, please let me know. I have a few words for the culprit!

I'm in the exact same boat! I did not get even a quarter of the things done that I imagined I would. That may have been due to all the Downton Abbey watching that I was doing, too. (I am embarrassed to admit that one day contained 11 episodes. Eleven!) My condolences on the death of your grandmother. I lost my grandfather last month, though I know he is with Jesus celebrating today. I hope you have a wonderful Easter despite your heavy heart.

I am so sorry for your loss. There have been many losses over the past few weeks, heaven has gained some great new characters! Don't be embarrassed, it took me 3 days to get through seasons 1, 2, and 3. So now you know I sat in front of that TV for hours!!!
DeleteHappy Easter to you and your family!
Hi Janine! First of all, so sorry to hear about your Grandma. You're right. Easter will be hard, but things will get better and how awesome is it to know where she is? Secondly, don't count this week as a loss. Doing nothing is wonderful stress relief! Have an excellent first week back!
