Manic Mondays

Welcome to Manic Mondays, a look at how this week started with my firsties.  


For the past few weeks my kiddos have been coming to school later and later each day.  There are those repeat offenders that always come late, but the number is growing drastically.  Today there were only 11 kids present at attendance time, but the rest started trickling in between 8:45 and 9:15, so I only had 2 absent today.  The number one reason for tardiness today:  my mom/dad was too tired to wake up.  Ok, that is a wonderful reason, I too am tooooo tired to teach, hug, laugh, and cry with your child, but I do and I do it happily.  Please, don't complain when your child's grades don't measure up.  In order to learn, they need to be in class every day, unless they are sick or there is an unavoidable emergency.


My Manic Monday continued into the afternoon, when one of my darlings decided to place their parent's initials on their reading log for March (hello, I just handed it out, you didn't even read for March yet, lol).  I went a little, ok a lot, nuts.  Ughhh, please let tomorrow be not so manic.
