I have been using the Farfaria App on my personal iPad for a few months. It started as a way to get my niece and nephew fall in love with reading. I would have them use the app whenever they visited and of course, IT WORKED. Not only did they love that stories could be read to them, but they were learning how to read right along with it, as well.
A few weeks ago, Zach from Farfaria contacted me to review the app and I was so excited because I had already started using the app in my classroom with my students. We received a new iPad from Donors Choose and Farfaria was one of the first apps that I downloaded.
Farfaria is set up in “kingdoms” depending on the genre of the story. Once a kingdom is clicked, students can choose from a multitude of stories. Stories can be read aloud or students can read to themselves. Stories can also be saved to favorites.
Here are a few things about Farfaria that you should know:
- unlimited reading from a library of more than 800 stories
- five new, engaging stories added every week
- interactive experience is fun for kids and easy for parents
- every story can be read aloud with a Read-to-Me feature
- no advertising and no hidden fees
There is a book club that you can use to share your books with friends.
Reading Levels are included, so you can choose books that fit the needs of your students.
Farfaria has given me a 3-month free membership to giveaway here on my blog! All you have to do is fill in the Rafflecopter below for your chance to win. The giveaway ends next Sunday, the 18th. Thanks for following and good luck!
