Currently

Hi there blogging peeps!  It's our favorite time of the month when we get to link up with Farley and peek into each other's lives.  I completely missed October's Currently, along with posting and all things I love about blogging.  I need to get back into the swing of things, so baby steps and all, here is my currently:

Listening:  I was studying for my math class and my daughter is studying for physics, two completely opposite ends of the spectrum.  She laughed at my frustration with algebra and I couldn't even fathom what her physics problems were even talking about.  Oh, the joys we have as we watch the new, smarter generation leave us in their dust, lol.

Loving:  I loved having her with us this weekend and I know her little sister loved it even more.  We laughed a lot!

Thinking:  Shelby had a vet appointment today and they advised me that there was a suspicious little bump between her scapula and the top of her leg.  I knew there had to be something wrong because she whimpers sometimes when she lands on that leg after jumping off the couch.  I stood there staring at the vet in absolute silence.  I could only ask her what she would do.  She told me that if I was the type of person that had to know the good or the bad and wouldn't be able to live with myself either way, then I should have the needle biopsy performed.  Well, okay, then, that pretty much scared the crap out of me!  Shelby is going in for the biopsy on Tuesday since she is having her teeth cleaned, anyway.  I am scared.  My husband has now informed all of us that Shelby has free reign of the house and can do no wrong.  I silently laugh because I thought that was what we had already established, but I guess we forgot to inform hubby.  Shelby is only 3 years old, so I pray this is nothing.

Wanting:  You feel my pain...

Needing:  I hate to admit this, but I gave up cleaning a long time ago.  No, we don't live in filth.  I am talking about the moving furniture, cleaning baseboards, moving appliances type of cleaning.  I don't even mop every week anymore, but I do sweep a few times a week.  With only 3 of us in the house, it isn't that dusty (I am lying, but I don't want you to know that I rarely dust, either).  I was just informed that we will be having Thanksgiving at our house with lots of people, including college girls new boyfriend.  I guess I better start moving some furniture...

Music:  There's no business like show business, like no business I know...  In my previous life, I dreamed obsessed about being on Broadway.  So the only hope I have is to sing every song from every musical everyday.  Seasons of Love, anyone???

  1. You are not the only one who has neglected some cleaning. I guarantee you. I'm lucky to get the basic stuff done every week - dishes, picking up, vacuuming & bathrooms. Mopping and baseboards, etc?! Forget about it. I love musicals, too. If only my kinders would appreciate them... ;)

Good luck with your pup. Our little boy just turned 1 and I know how quickly you become attached! I'm sure she'll be ok!!

    1. Hopefully, there is a cleaning fairy out there for hard working teachers and we will all wake up to clean homes! Thanks for stopping by and for the good thoughts for my little baby!

  2. Pretty sure my class thinks I am crazy because I am always singing some musical song or another and know hardly any pop/current music.

  4. I, too, hope your Shelby is okay. My dog had his birthday on Friday and turned 10 - it scares me that he's getting older.

I dreamed of being in musicals, too!
    Have a good week-
